Lake Imaging is a joint venture between highly credentialled radiologists and highly skilled radiographers/business managers. This mix of clinical and operational skills allows Lake Imaging to provide optimal quality diagnostic imaging and patient care.
Lake Imaging commenced operation on the 1st of January 2002 as a single comprehensive practice. Over the past eight years Lake Imaging has expanded to seventeen campuses, including North Melbourne, Melton, Geelong and Ballarat, we also provide imaging services at Melton Health, Bacchus Marsh Hospital, St John of God Geelong and Ballart and Daylesford.
The primary philosophies of the Lake Imaging partnership are to provide:

Lake Imaging uses state of the art diagnostic imaging equipment, Computed Radiography (CR), Picture Archive and Communication Systems (PACS) and data management systems. Our fully integrated PACS and Radiology Information System (RIS) operates throughout our campuses, providing north-western Melbournes' and regional Victorians with premium quality state of the art diagnostic imaging. Lake Imaging now operates the largest wide area digital imaging installation of its type in Australia.
In October 2002, Lake Imaging became the first private practice in Australia to adopt a fully integrated digital imaging (filmless) solution. As a result, there have been significant efficiency gains for both technical and radiological staff as well as enhanced clinical functionality. This has enabled the practice to provide a better, more efficient service to its patients and referrers as well as enhanced diagnostic accuracy.
