Dr. Don Barrie was admitted as a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Radiologists in 1993, his first appointment was as a staff Radiologist at the Alfred Hospital in 1993.

Dr Barrie then joined Geelong Radiological Clinic where he gained further experience in his particular areas of interest MRI, interventional and musculoskeletal radiology, including ultrasound. During this time Don also acted as a visiting consultant to the Geelong Hospital for MRI.

In 2002 Dr Barrie took on a position as a staff Radiologist at Monash Medical Centre. In 2004 Dr Barrie was appointed director of MRI for Southern Health being responsible for supervision of MRI fellows, registrars, clinical meetings, research projects and operational oversight for MRI services.

Dr Barrie has held various teaching positions including registrar teaching at Geelong Hospital, Part II DRACR registrars, Medical Technologists CPD program and FRACP candidates coordination.

Dr Barrie joined Lake Imaging in 2009 where he is now the clinical director of radiology for the Geelong region where he continues to pursue his interest in MRI, musculoskeletal and interventional and oncologic radiology.
