CWA Women's Health Clinic

On Friday night, 50 women from Bacchus Marsh, Melton & Sunbury areas came to an information night about women's health.

Julie Livingston our The Bernie Lauricella Award recipient gave a quick history of Lake Imaging, where sites are and a walk through "being a patient", information about our Radiologists, Techs, specific modalities at sites in the Western Region, also (SJB/SJG), speaking about our communication with the patient's GP's and our Radiologists relating to their urgent reports.

Amy, (Mammography Supervisor), Amy with the help of Breast Screen Victoria (BSV), spoke about Diagnostic Mammos V's BSV, why and where you can have these. Amy spoke about prevention, how diagnostic mammograms are managed, how BSV patients are managed, symptoms etc.

Kristie, (Radiographer) who is on Maternal Leave at the moment did a fantastic talk about being a young mum with Type 1 diabetes, she was so informative about her working/personal life and she also spoke about her health and new technology she has to help her with her everyday life.

Kristie and Amy have been with Lake imaging for many years (10 yrs), they both have young children. It was fantastic to have them giving back to the community especially on their own time. It shows the care and passion they have for their work! They are fantastic assets to Lake and much appreciated!

It was such a success that a patient came into our Lake Imaging at Melton, she was SO impressed and loved every minute, she wanted to say "congratulations" to Lake Imaging, for being involved on the night.
