Dr Clair Shadbolt

Clair Shadbolt obtained her medical degree from Otago University in Dunedin and general radiology training at Auckland Hospital in New Zealand before spending her final year of training in London at the Hammersmith and Royal Marsden Hospitals. She also gained experience at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge. 

Clair commenced two years of MRI Fellowship in the USA, in 2000 at the University of California, Irvine, in Musculoskeletal and Neuro MRI, followed by an Oncology/Body MRI fellowship at Memorial Sloan- Kettering Cancer Center in New York City working with Hedvig Hricak an international expert in GYN and prostate MRI.

On her return, Clair worked at the Alfred Hospital reporting rectal MRI and is currently at The Women's Hospital undertaking MRI in both benign and malignant GYN diseases and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne continuing her interest in Body/Oncology and Breast MRI.

Clair specialises in male and female pelvic MRI examinations for Lake Imaging.

Clair has authored several peer-reviewed journal articles and has presented papers/posters at both local and international radiology meetings.
